Built in 1766, in a wooded grove near Boulogne-sur Mer, the Château dHesdin lAbbé now plays host to the hotel. This bourgeois residence, where Général Berthier stayed while the town was under siege from Napoléon, is an outstanding example of 18th century romantic architecture set in 12 acres of parkland. The hotel has 27 rooms, located in the chateau outlying cottages and a small farm house.
